Getting into shape is not as easy as people think it is. You need to stay positive to be successful! 

(1)Lose weight, get fit, improve your physique within 60 days and learn how to defend yourself. To get started you need to select Kicking Set 1 from course 2,  Co-Ordination Set 1 from course 3, Eagle Set 1 from course 4, and then select Kicking Set 2 from course 6.  LWGF60 Program!

(2) Running as an exercise is no more than rapid movement on foot, with long strides and both feet momentarily off the ground. A sudden sprint is excellent exercise for your heart!

(3) A normal heart rate for an adult ranges from 60 to 100 beats a minute. For a well trained athlete a normal resting heart rate may be closer to 40 beats a minute. For healthy adults, a lower heart rate generally implies more efficient heart function and better cardiovascular fitness.

(4)How to measure your heart rate, simply check your pulse by placing your index and middle finger just below your thumb onto your wrist with your palm facing upwards, or you can place your two fingers on your neck to the side of the windpipe. When you feel your pulse, count the number of beats in 10 seconds. Time yourself with a timer or a second hand on a clock or watch, then multiply the number by 6 to determine how many times your heart beats in one minute.

An insight into what you should be taught on the 3rd Degree Black belt syllabus at expert level in American Advanced Kenpo Karate and Self Defense.

Why should anyone take up self defense or martial arts, you may have several reasons such as to protect yourself against bullies,  getting fit, losing weight,  become more confident in every thing that you do.  No matter what your reasons are you will feel extremely good about yourself when you achieve your goal which ever road you decide to take in life.

The 3rd Degree Black Belt syllabus is the eleventh belt to be taught to you at expert level in American Advanced Kenpo Karate and Self Defense.

As a qualified 2nd degree black belt you may decide to continue on to the next belt level the 3rd Degree Black Belt, when you pass your grade you will then be promoted to Head Instructor.  

The 3rd degree black belt consists of Long Form 6 on Both Sides commonly known as a kata, 24 Self Defense Techniques, and Freestyle Sparring Techniques…

(1) Long Form (6) is commonly known as a kata and will improve your fluidity and agility in close quarter, medium and long range combat. 

The first part of the syllabus you will be taught on the 3rd Degree Black belt is long form 6 taught on both sides, in is also commonly known as flowing hands; it is a mixture of some of the advanced self defense techniques that you have already been taught, in Knifes, Batons and Guns.  This is an exceptional kata that will help you to remember your technique especially if you have your own martial art school!  It will improve your fluidity and agility in close quarter, medium and long range fighting, using the angles on the clock to manipulate your opponent or opponents in combat if the need arises.

(2) 24 Self Defense advanced Techniques the name of the first technique is called circling destruction a defence against a punch or knife from the front…

The next part of the 3rd Degree Black belt syllabus that you will be taught is the 24 Self-defense advanced techniques. You will now return to green belt syllabus and be taught extensions to the 24 self defense techniques that you have already been taught on the green belt, adding more weapons to your techniques that you can use in combat if the need arises using multiple strikes, and will improve your speed and power.

Consisting of such attacks as, a two handed push to the ground, from the front, a push from behind to the ground, an over head club attack from your right flank, a right and left punch from the front, a side kick, a full nelson from behind, a double crossover choke from the front, a lapel grab from the front, a side kick from your right flank or left flank.  You will also be taught how to break your fall from the front, and execute a forward and reverse roll, and many more techniques that I hope you will enjoy learning.

(3) Freestyle Sparring Techniques; you will be taught a combination of foot manoeuvres, hand and kicking technique used in a stationary position.

The last part of the syllabus on the 3rd Degree Black belt that you will be taught is the freestyle sparring self defence techniques, this is a combination of foot manoeuvres hand and kicking techniques used in a stationary position, these techniques will also teach you how to close the gap between you and your opponent and improve your fighting ability. 

Freestyle sparring is divided into two categories tournament and street fighting techniques, in tournament you have rules but on the street there is no such a thing as rules.

The 2nd Degree Black Belt syllabus is the tenth belt to be taught to you at expert level in American Advanced Kenpo Karate and Self Defense.

As a qualified 1st degree black belt you may decide to continue on to learn the next belt level, the 2nd degree black belt at expert level, consisting of Long Form 5 taught on Both Sides also known as kata,  24 Self Defence Advanced Techniques, and New Freestyle Sparring Techniques.

(1) Long Form (5) commonly known as a kata made up of advanced techniques to improve your fluidity within your techniques. 

The first part of the syllabus that you will be taught on the 2nd Degree Black Belt is long form 5 taught on both sides;   it is a mixture of some of the advanced techniques that you have already been taught.  It is an excellent kata to improve your fluidity and agility in close quarter, medium and long range fighting, using the angles on the clock to manipulate your opponent or opponents in combat and competitions and much more.

(2) 24 Self Defense Advanced Techniques the name of the first technique is called begging hands, it is a defence against a double wrist lock from the front. 

The next part of the 2nd Degree Black belt syllabus that you will be taught is the 24 Self-Defense Advanced Techniques. You will now return to blue belt syllabus and be taught extensions to the 24 self defense techniques that you have already been taught on the blue belt.  Adding more weapons and multiple strikes to your techniques that will improve your fluidity speed and power than you can use in combat if the need arises.

(3) Freestyle sparring advanced techniques, is a combination of foot manoeuvres, hand and kicking techniques…

The last part of the syllabus on the 2nd Degree Black belt that you will be taught is the freestyle sparring self defence techniques, which is no more that a combination of foot manoeuvres, hand and kicking techniques used in a stationary position, Such as; a Jumping inward elbow to his face followed by an outward right elbow through his face landing on both feet, you are now facing 12 o’ clock in a right neutral fighting stance. Immediately execute a left rear crossover towards 12 o’ clock with your left foot and then pivot counter clockwise slightly simultaneously as you execute a left back elbow through his back.

Immediately step forward toward 3 o’clock with your right foot and pivot counter clockwise, you are now facing into your opponent back! Execute a right straight punch through his left kidney follow by a right blade kick to back of his left knee, right front crossover cover out towards 4 o’ clock; you end up in a right neutral fighting stance facing 10 o’ clock.   

 You will now be taught how to close the gap between you and your opponent, this type of training will improve your fighting ability in combat and competitions. 

Freestyle sparring is divided into two categories tournament and street fighting techniques, in tournament you have rules but on the street there is no such a thing as rules!

(1) 24 Self Defense Advanced Techniques the name of the first technique is called captured leaves is a defence against a finger or wrist lock from your right flank.  View video clips

(2) Long Form (4) commonly known as the work’ horse kata of the system! It will improve your fluidity and agility in long medium and close quarter fighting.

(3) Freestyle sparring advanced techniques, is a combination of foot manoeuvres, hand and kicking techniques…

(4) DVD Approximate Running Time: 90 Minutes

Why should anyone take up martial arts or self defense? You may have several reasons such as protecting and defending yourself, getting fit, losing weight, and become more confident in every thing that you do in life.  No matter what your reasons are, you will feel good about yourself when you successfully achieve your goal, which ever road you decide to take in life.

The 1st Degree Black Belt syllabus in American Advanced Kenpo Karate and Self Defense consists of Long Form 4 or commonly known as a kata,   24 Self Defence Techniques, and Freestyle Sparring Techniques.

(2) Long Form (4) commonly also known as the work’ horse kata of the system! It will improve your fluidity and agility in long medium and close quarter fighting.

It will improve your fluidity and agility in long medium and close quarter fighting, using the angles on the clock to manipulate your opponent or opponents in self defense.

(2) The next part of the 1st Degree Black belt syllabus that you will be taught is the 24 Self-defense advanced techniques.

You will now return to purple belt syllabus and be taught new extensions to the 24 self defense techniques that you have already been taught! They will include more weapons to add to your techniques. The name of the first techniques is called captured leaves, a defence against a finger or wrist lock.  A short insight into some of the techniques that you will taught; A defence against a right front over head baton or knife attack, a two handed choke from behind, a front rugby tackle from the front, a side club or knife attack, a two handed attempted push or grab from the front, a roundhouse kick, a two handed lapel grab from the front, a bear hug. Adding more weapons and multiple strikes to your techniques this will improve your speed, power and accuracy than you can use in combat if the need arises.

(3) Freestyle sparring self-defence techniques, is a combination of foot manoeuvres, hand and kicking techniques…

The last part of the 1st Degree Black belt syllabus that you will be taught is the freestyle sparring self defence techniques.  Freestyle sparring is a combination of foot manoeuvres, hand and kicking techniques used in a stationary position to improve your fighting ability in combat and competitions. Such as; you are in a left neutral fighting stance facing your opponent who is also in a left neutral fighting stance.

A sudden movement from your opponent initiates you to react spontaneously by stepping forward towards 12 o’clock gripping his left wrist with your left hand and pulling it towards your left hip, this action will cancel his depth and height simultaneously as you execute a right vertical punch to his face.

Follow by a left rear crossover toward 12 o’clock as you execute a right back knuckle to his face. Immediately start to spin on both feet counter clockwise as you execute a left back spinning back knuckle to his face you will end up facing 12 o’clock in a left neutral fighting stance.

Immediately execute a right vertical ball kick to his left thigh followed by a right heel kick to his left knee simultaneously as you pivot, slightly counter clockwise on your left foot, you will end up in a right neutral fight stance facing 12 o’clock. 

You will then be taught how to close the gap between you and your opponent that will improve your fighting ability in combat and competitions.

Freestyle sparring is divided into two categories tournament and self defense techniques, in tournament you have rules but on the street there is no such a thing as rules.

1st Brown Belt Complete Syllabus or Course 8 consists of 3 segments…

An insight into what you should be taught on the 1st Brown Belt syllabus at semi expert level in American Advanced Kenpo Karate and Self Defense.

(1) 24 Self Defense Advanced Techniques the name of the first technique is called clutching feathers a defence against a hair grab front the front.

(2) Bow Form & some Mass Attacks, the bow is used as a long range weapon to keep your opponent or opponents at a distance or to take them out if the need arises.

(3) Freestyle sparring self-defence techniques, is a combination of foot manoeuvres, hand and kicking techniques…

(4) DVD Approximate Running Time: 90 Minutes

Why should anyone take up martial arts? You may have several reasons such as protecting yourself getting fit losing weight and become confident in every thing that you do.  No matter what your reasons are you will feel good about yourself when you achieve your goal which ever road you decide to take in life. 

The 1st Brown Belt syllabus is the eight belts to be taught to you at semi expert level in American Advanced Kenpo Karate and Self Defense.

As a qualified 2nd Brown Belt you may decide to continue on to learn the next belt level the 1st brown belt, it is the semi expert level, consisting of 24 Self Defence Advanced Techniques, Bow Form, and the Freestyle Sparring Techniques.

(1) 24 Self Defense Techniques the name of the first technique is called clutching feathers a defence against a hair grab front the front.

The first part of the 1st degree brown belt syllabus that you will be taught is the 24 Self-defense advanced techniques. You will now return to orange belt syllabus that you have already been taught on the orange belt,  and be taught new extensions to the techniques. That will include more weapons and multiple strikes to add to your techniques to improve your speed and power fluidity that you can use in combat if the need arises.

 (3) Bow Form is no more than a long pole used as a weapon in combat.

You will now be taught the Bow Form this is no more than a long pole used as a weapon that you may have seen in movies. It is used as a long range weapon to keep your opponent or opponents at a distance or to take them out as the need arises; the difference between the long bow and the short bow is the range. It is an excellent weapon to develop the jumping back, spinning inward crescent kick, and will improve your fluidity and agility in long, medium, and close quarter fighting, using the angles on the clock to manipulate your opponent or opponents in combat and is an excellent Kate to win competitions.

(3) Freestyle sparring self-defence techniques, is a combination of foot manoeuvres, hand and kicking techniques…

The last part of the syllabus on the 1st brown belt that you will be taught is the freestyle sparring self-defence techniques, this is a combination of foot manoeuvres hand and kicking techniques used in a stationary position, such as; A hop switch, it is no more than switching from your left neutral stance to a right neutral stance simultaneously as you execute a universal block to the inside of your opponent right roundhouse kick. You will then be taught how to close the gap between you and your opponent that will improve your fighting ability if the need arises. 

Freestyle sparring is divided into two categories; tournament and street fighting techniques, in tournament you have rules but on the street there is no such a thing as rules.
